How to Apply

Applications are closed.

There is no need to call the apprenticeship concerning applications during this time.

Required Documents to Apply

You must submit your documents to (Email closed at this time) before applying for the apprenticeship. Please send all your documents in one email.

Inside Wireman Program:

Current driver’s license and one additional form of government issued ID (Birth Certificate, Passport, Military ID, Social Security Card, etc.)
High School Diploma or G.E.D. (unless exempt)*
Official transcripts verifying one full credit of an algebra course (unless exempt)*. GED scores do NOT meet this criteria. You may substitute SkillsPrep.org Online Learning System Tech Math course for an Algebra credit.
Copy of DD214 (If you were in the military)
$25 to apply – This is a non-refundable fee after you turn in your documents and start the application online.
Those accepted will be required to clear a background check. For the background check, you will be required to provide the addresses you resided at for all states that you have lived in for the past seven years.
Those accepted will be required to submit results of physical examination and drug screen.

Application & Aptitude Test

After you submit all required documentation to djeatcapplications@outlook.com you will be contacted by email within 3 - 5 business days with instructions on completing the application online

Once you complete the application you will be scheduled for the mandatory aptitude test. The test will consist of basic algebra functions and reading comprehension. You will be given sample questions to take home with you after completing the application. If you think you need additional assistance with the aptitude test, an online prep course is available at ElectricPrep.com.

Background Check Information (Inside Wireman Program Only)

After you have taken the aptitude test, and if you receive a ranking sufficient to meet selection requirements, a background check will be conducted. Having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify an applicant from being accepted. Every applicant identified by the screening as having been convicted of a felony in the past seven years will be individually assessed by the committee. If the committee determines an applicant unsuitable for the program, they will have 10 days to demonstrate that the exclusion should not apply.
